DR. SAYWARD DUGGAN, DDS, MS


Dr. Duggan is a board-certified specialist in periodontology and dental implant surgery at her practice Hampton Roads Periodontics & Implants in Newport News, Virginia. In 2006, Dr. Duggan graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University. Following graduation, she completed the two-year General Practice Residency program at the University of Virginia, with an emphasis on treating medically compromised and pediatric patients. This training reflects her dedication to provide periodontal and dental implant therapy in a personalized and compassionate manner. In 2011, Dr. Duggan completed her graduate training in periodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and certification in Periodontics and Dental Implants. She became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 2012.

DR. WHITNEY L. JOHNSON, DDS, MS


Dr. Johnson completed her Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) degree and residency in Periodontology at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently an associate at Hampton Roads Periodontics and Implants specializing in surgical and nonsurgical periodontology and dental implants. Dr. Johnson graduated second in her class from the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and worked as a general dentist for close to four years at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in New Mexico before returning to Virginia for her advanced training.

Dr. Johnson is an outdoor enthusiast and loves to go hiking with her husband Jerren, and four dogs. She also enjoys biking and pickleball and staying active in the local community.
